To be visibly very angry.
火冒三丈、非常生氣、大發(fā)雷霆。
比如:Dad is going to have steam coming out of his ears when he sees that huge dent you put in his car door.

Have steam coming out of your ears(informal)
if you have steam coming out of your ears, you show that you are very angry about something.
